This course will expose the participants to the principles and practice of Wind power turbines. Turbine design, installations and engineering. The participants will be exposed to appropriate installation patterns for wind turbines, for vertical and horizontal types. Wind pattern assessment. Procedures and processes, Data logger and recording pattern. Dump load, dump load controllers. Hybrid systems installations.

Objectives

The participants would have learnt the skills of designing, monitoring and managing and installing small wind turbines. Hybrid systems and heat alternative power usage, and economic use of reserve wind power.
