Mini-Grid Designer (MGD)

This course will expose the participants to the principles and practice of design, installation and effective project management of mini-grid projects. Design and implementation of Mini-Grids. Understanding hybrid systems. Various forms of renewable energy systems for hybrid application. EIA, Metering, distribution networking, tariffs, CSR, Legal and regulatory framework for Mini-grids. Management of mini-grid (LCCA, NPV) and financial management of mini-grid projects.
Objectives
The participants would have learnt the skills of mini-grid design and construction, implementation and operations of mini-grids. Designing, monitoring and managing mini-grid energy systems which are workable, cost effective and profitable.
